I used transparent png files combined with vectors in my pdfs. When printed, some of the transparent png files got unwanted semi transparent frames around them. You can see the problem here: https://cf.geekdo-images.com/images/pic3270009.png It just happened to about half the files, and the effect was not visible on screen or on the site. what can I do to avoid this problem with my next print?

Any idea what caused this? I've looked at the files and googled, still have no idea..

Interesting, multiple things could have caused this. Is all the artwork using the same colour space? In future it might be worth rasterising all your images.

Rasterising would be the safest way I guess. But I want to keep the nice sharp edge of the vector file. I assume this is digital printing. What DPI do you print in? I want it as sharp as possible:)
